The journey closes back in Aizawl, with bustling bazaars, sacred sites and stories of a heritage that runs deep.

Aizawl: the capital of Mizoram, is known for its vibrant handicrafts and rich tribal culture. Set against a backdrop of

rolling hills, the city is also blessed with stunning natural beauty, making it a unique blend of tradition and scenic charm.

Reiek Peak: Reiek is one of Mizoram’s most scenic and culturally important hill destinations, located about 29 km from Aizawl at an elevation

of 1,465 metres. Perched high above the surrounding valleys, Reiek offers sweeping views of forested hills and, on clear days, distant

vistas stretching as far as the plains of Bangladesh. The hill is enveloped by dense temperate forests, lending it a pristine and

tranquil character.

Mizoram is best visited between October and April, when the weather is pleasant, cool and largely dry. Winter months (November to February) bring crisp days and cold nights, with temperatures ranging from 11°C to 21°C — ideal for trekking and exploring the highlands. March and April are warmer but still comfortable, with temperatures rising to around 33°C, making this an equally rewarding time to travel. Skies are generally clear throughout, with minimal rainfall across the season.

Day 1 |

Kolkata – Aizawl Arrive at Aizawl Airport, where your driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After a long day of travel, settle in and unwind, with time in the evening to discuss the days ahead with your guide.

Day 2 |

Aizawl – Thenzawl Set off on the scenic three-hour drive to Thenzawl, pausing for beautiful viewpoints and photo opportunities along the way. Arrive by evening at the Thenzawl Golf Course, beautifully set among rolling greens and misty hills, and unwind for the night.

Day 3 |

Thenzawl Begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Vantawng Waterfall, Mizoram’s tallest cascade, followed by the enchanting Tuirihiau Waterfall, where you can walk behind its shimmering curtain of water. Stop at a local farm for a glimpse of rural highland life, and after lunch, explore the Thenzawl Golf Course before visiting a local Handloom and Handicraft Unit to witness traditional weaving and craftsmanship.

Day 4 |

Thenzawl – Reiek Drive through forested hill roads to Reiek. Spend the afternoon at the Mizo Typical Village — a thoughtfully preserved settlement offering a vivid glimpse into traditional Mizo life and customs.

Day 5 |

Reiek – Aizawl Set out on an early morning hike to Reiek Peak where the summit rewards you with sweeping views of rolling hills and, on a clear day, the distant plains of Bangladesh. Return to Aizawl. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.

Day 6 |

Aizawl A guided day exploring the rhythm of Mizoram’s capital. Visit the State Museum for an introduction to Mizo heritage and tribal traditions, followed by Solomon’s Temple, an impressive marble structure set high above the city. Walk through the bustling Bara Bazaar, browse a local handloom store and end with live weaving demonstrations, where skilled artisans bring traditional techniques to life.

Day 7 |

Aizawl – Departure After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your onward flight, bidding farewell to your driver as you depart.
