It is my wish to get small children to connect with nature and people from different ethnicity. The places have been chosen to give you and the kids a fun experience of life in the North East. Guwahati is the melting pot and our trip starts here. We continue to Meghalaya for the adventures, water falls and music.

The rhino attracts everyone to Assam and at Pobitora national park you will get to see them. Please note the sunsets there at 4.45pm, so day light hours are precious.

Please note: The cost mentioned below is relevant to 10 / 12 adults traveling in May 2018. This tour can be replicated any time post the Monsoons. For a current update on pricing please write to us.

This is a favourite local sport, where you get your dream interpreted into a number and place a bet for that day's archery result. A Khasi or local Chinese meal either at City Dhaba, Deja Vu or Red Rice is recommended. Depending on how everyone is feeling visit Lady Hydra Park (great place for the kids to spend their energy). My son and I had a remarkably stunning and adventurous trip to Assam and Meghalaya, these two gems of Northeast India. Experiencing the sunset cruise in Guwahati with a live band and watching the tiniest inhabited island while sailing was fascinating, the breath taking beauty of Cherrapunjee and its waterfalls, visiting Asia’s cleanest and most beautiful town of Mawlynong, truly magical journey within The Sacred Grove, the colourful markets of Shillong to Pobitora’s National Park dense with one horned Rhino’s and birds which we explored in the comfort of our private jeep and to the thoroughly enjoyable Elephant Safari and many more highlights, we have had a wonderful trip. Discovering North East India with ‘Curtain Call Adventures’ was incredible as was the consistency of sumptuous and abundant food provided along with uniquely charming hotel’s. A very comfortable minivan throughout the tour and an efficient driver brought ease to my mind.

I travelled from 1st May to 6th May and as a parting note thank Julie and her team for an uber organised holiday which made it memorable.

    Tour: Assam & Meghalaya

We had a wonderful experience with Curtaincall Adventures on our trip to Assam and Meghalaya. The trip was planned meticulously and the experiences were appropriate for kids as well as grown-ups. The best part of the trip was the local expertise of Julie which helped us in planning the excursions and avoid the ones that were more touristy in nature! Another huge plus of the trip was that we were given the flexibility wherever possible as we were traveling with younger kids less than 4 years.

The choice of the homestays / resorts were amazing with each property having its distinctive charm and warmth.

Julie and the entire group was very warm and we were all traveling as a group of friends rather than tourists. She had the foresight of planning the group in such a way that kids were of similar age group, hence the overall experience was even better. Due to her planning, we could enjoy an additional safari in the evening and see a rhino up close. Apart from the abundant natural beauty and the safari, an impromptu trek with a local guide, evening band jam session were the some of the additional highlights of the trip.

It is such fine personal touches that makes every moment enjoyable and we would love to explore more of these beautiful but unknown places in the North-East with CurtainCall Adventures. Until our next trip together, we wish CurtainCall Adventures good luck in their endeavor to bring these magical and unexplored destinations to all of us!

    Best Regards

One of the best holidays we have ever experienced.
In equal measure for the place and the outstanding experience created by Julie/Curtain Call.
Every little element was taken care of and we didnt have to think about organising anything through the entire trip. The transportation, places to stay, meal stops and above all the safety – kudos to Julie for taking care of it all.
Our 4 year old son (and us) had a great time enjoying the outdoors, little treks, the mist, the rain, the highlands, the root bridge, thick forests… i could go on and on.

i could not recommend this trip more. absolute must do with children!
